The Rules of Criminal Procedure under the Rules of Court shall, as far as practicable, apply to impeachment proceedings before the House. (Adopted, 3 August 2010. Per Francisco v. House of Representatives, G.R. No. 160261, Nov. 10, 2003, impeachment proceedings are initiated upon the filing of the complaint and/or resolution and its referral to the Committee on Justice.)
