Section 57Republic Act No. 2260, as amended, and as organized under the Integrated Reorganization Plan may serve as the nucleus of the Civil Service Commission., Sec./Art. 57

Authority to Use Appropriations. The Commission is hereby authorized to use such sums appropriated in Presidential Decree No. 733 and balances of existing certifications to accounts payable including prior years which have not yet been reverted to the unappropriated surplus, as are necessary to carry out the provisions of this Decree. Henceforth, appropriations to cover the salaries of officials and employees of the Civil Service Commission and its maintenance and operational expenses shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Decree.
