Composition of the Board. - The Board shall be headed by a Chairperson and shall be composed of five (5) distinguished historians representing the private sector who shall serve as regular members of the Board and who shall be appointed by the President of the Republic of the Philippines. Only the regular members can vote on matters relating to historical research and similar academic concerns. The following shall serve as ex officio members:
(a)The Director of the National Library of the Philippines;
(b)The Director of the National Museum;
(c)The Executive Director of the National Archives of the Philippines; and
(d)The Executive Director of the NHCP.
