Curricular Offerings. - The University shall offer varied courses in the disciplines and programs through occupation-oriented and industry-based baccalaureate ladder-type curricula and graduate programs that are closely linked with the needs of industries, businesses, services and professions.
In addition to the present curricular offerings of the integrated institutions, the University shan offer undergraduate, graduate and short-term courses in marine technology, marine resources and ecology management, harbor/port and business management, engineering, marine transportation and economics, rural enterprise organization and community development, rural-based health and education, industrial technology, food processing, computer and information technology, tourism and ecotourism, agriculture, environmental studies, local governance, cooperatives management and other related courses within its areas of specialization and according to Its capabilities as the Board of Regents may deem necessary to carry out its objectives, particularly in meeting the needs of the Province of Iloilo and Region VI.
The existing high school shall be transferred to the jurisdiction and supervision of the Department of Education (DepED): Provided, That the high school shall be allowed to remain and operate Within the campus of the University until the existing students shall have completed their high school education: Provided, further, That the University may operate a reasonably-sized laboratory school, if It has a College of Education.
