Term of Office. - The Chairperson and two (2) members of the Board shall hold office for a term of three (3) years from the date of their appointment and until their successors shall have been appointed and qualified. The first Board under this Act shall hold these terms of office: the Chairperson for three (3) years; the first member for two (2) years; and the second member for one (1) year; Provided, That any appointee to a vacancy with an unexpired term shall only serve such period.
The Chairperson or a member of the Board may be reappointed to their positions for another term of three (3) years immediately after the expiry of their terms: Provided, further, That the holding of such position shall not be for more than two (2) terms nor more than six (6) years, whichever is longer. The Chairperson and two (2) members of the Board shall take their oath of office prior to entering upon the performance of duty.
