Approval of Ordinances. (a) Every ordinance enacted by the Sangguniang Panlungsod shall be presented to the City Mayor. If the City Mayor approves the same, his or her signature shall be affixed on each and every page thereof; otherwise, the ordinace shall be vetoed and return the same with his or her statement on the objections to the Sanggunian, which any proceed to reconsider the same. The Sanggunian may override the veto of the City Mayor by two-thirds (2/3) vote of all its members, thereby making the ordinance or resolution effective for all legal intents and purposes.

(b) The veto shall be communicated by the City Mayor to the Sanggunian within ten (10) days; otherwise, the ordinance shall be deemed approved as if it had been signed.
