January 24 of every year is hereby declared a special working holiday in the Province of Palawan and the City of Puerto Princesa in honor of the martyrdom of Governor Higinio Acosta Mendoza, Sr., to be known as "Governor Higinio Acosta Mendoza, Sr. Day".
