Section 23 of Republic Act No. 4566, as amended, is hereby amended to read as follows:
Section 23.Issuance of Licenses.Upon the payment of the corresponding fee and filing of the application, and after examination and investigation as may be required, the Board shall issue a license to the applicant permitting him to engage in business as a contractor under the terms of this Act for one (1) year from the date of issuance.
