Approval of Ordinances. (a) Every ordinance enacted by the Sangguniang Panlungsod shall be presented to the City Mayor. If the City Mayor approves the same, the signature shall be affixed on each and every page thereof; otherwise, the ordinance shall be vetoed and returned with a statement on the objections to the Sangguniang Panlungsod, which may proceed to reconsider the same.

(b) The veto shall be communicated by the City Mayor to the Sangguniang Panlungsod within ten (10) days; otherwise, the ordinance shall be deemed approved as if it had been signed.

(c) The Sangguniang Panlungsod may override the veto of the City Mayor by two-thirds (2/3) vote of all its members, thereby making the ordinance or resolution effective for all legal intents and purposes.
