Approval of Ordinances. - (a) The Sangguniang Panlungsod shall present to the City Mayor every ordinance enacted. Each page thereof shall contain the affixed signature of the City Mayor in case of approval. Otherwise, the ordinance shall be vetoed and returned with statements of objections to the Sangguniang Panlungsod, which may proceed to reconsider the same. The Sangguniang Panlungsod may override the veto of the City Mayor by two-thirds (2/3) vote of all its members, thereby making the ordinance effective for all legal intents and purposes.
(b) The City Mayor shall communicate the veto to the Sangguniang Panlungsod within ten (10) days; otherwise, the ordinance shall be deemed approved as if it has been signed.
