Labeling of Salt Made in the Philippines. - All salt produced or manufactured in the Philippines for export shall be labeled as "Made in the Philippines" in a prominent and conspicuous manner on the product, its packaging, and accompanying documentation, and shall comply with the requirements of Republic Act No. 7394, otherwise known as the "Consumer Act of the Philippines".
For domestically produced salt intended for the local market, salt manufacturers, producers or farmers are encouraged to provide a label "Made in the Philippines".
The DTI shall assist domestic salt manufacturers, producers or farmers on this labeling requirement.
