Memorandum of Loans or Advances. - Any obligation referring to any amount either in money or in kind, including the payment of interest, which the tenant may have received from time to time as loan or advance from the landholder, shall be void unless the same, or some note or memorandum thereof, be in writing in a language or dialect known to the party charged, and subscribed by said party, or by his authorized agent.
