Marine Environmental Protection. - All States have the obligation to protect and preserve the marine environment. The Philippines shall enforce its laws and regulations on the protection and preservation of the marine environment of the maritime zones declared therein, taking into consideration the provisions of Part XII "Protection and Preservation of the Marine Environment" of the UNCLOS.
