Scope. - This Act shall apply to all DTIPs including but not limited to, VoIP service providers, internet service providers (ISPs), and SSPOs. DTIPs that are principally engaged in the provision of basic telephone services, such as international carriers, interexchange carriers, local exchange operators, and mobile radio services providers, as defined in Republic Act No. 7925, and which also provide data transmission services, shall likewise be subject to the provisions of this Act with respect to their data transmission services and the linkage of their networks extended to DTIPs.
Access providers shall likewise comply with the relevant provisions herein and the policies, rules, and regulations issued under this Act.
