Establishment of the Philippine Atomic Energy Regulatory Authority. - The Philippine Atomic Energy Regulatory Authority, otherwise known as "PhilATOM", is hereby established as an independent and quasi-judicial body. The PhilATOM shall have sole and exclusive jurisdiction to exercise regulatory control in accordance with this Act for the peaceful, safe, and secure uses of nuclear energy and radiation sources in the Philippines.
The regulatory functions of aU other government agencies with jurisdiction, functions, and authorities with respect to nuclear energy and radiation sources shall be transferred to the PhilATOM.
