Withdrawal or Cancellation of Certificates of Candidacy. - No certificates of candidacy duly filed shall be considered withdrawn or cancelled unless the candidate files with the office which received the certificate of candidacy or with the Commission, a statement of withdrawal or cancellation signed and sworn to by him at any time before the day of election.
The certificate of candidacy shall be considered ipso-facto cancelled from the moment the candidate concerned accepts, assumes or discharges any appointive office or employment in the government or in any government-owned or controlled corporation.
