Threats and Other Coercion. - It shall be unlawful for any person, directly or indirectly, to threaten or suggest, or actually to cause, inflict or produce any violence, punishment, damage loss or disadvantage upon or against any person, or to use any fraudulent device or scheme to compel or induce any registration or refraining from registration of any voter, or any candidacy or withdrawal of candidacy, or any vote or omission to vote, or any promise of such registration, candidacy, vote or omission therefrom.
