Foreign Information Council. – There is hereby created a Foreign Information Council composed of the Secretary of Foreign Affairs, as Chairman, and the Secretaries of Defense, Trade and Industry, Tourism, Labor and Employment, and the Office of the Press Secretary, as members. The Foreign Information Council shall provide policy guidance in the formulation of effective overseas information and communications strategies to ensure better understanding of Filipino values, culture and institutions overseas; an accurate presentation of policies in the Government especially in the fields of trade and investment; and coordination of overseas information programs of various government agencies and other entities.
