The City of Masbate. The Municipality of Masbate shall be converted into a component city to be known as the City of Masbate, hereinafter referred to as the City, which shall comprise the present territory of the Municipality of Masbate, Masbate Province. The territorial jurisdiction of the City shall be within the present metes and bounds of the Municipality of Masbate, as follows:

Bounded on the Southeast, along points 1 to 7 by the Municipality of Mobo;

Bounded on the South, along points 7 to 10 by the Municipality of Milagros following Tagbon River;

Bounded on the Southwest, along points 10 to 15 by the Municipality of Milagros;

Bounded on the Northwest, along points 15 to 23 by the Municipality of Baleno;

Bounded on the Northeast, along points 23 to 24 to the point of beginning by the Masbate Pass.

The foregoing provision shall be without prejudice to the resolution by the appropriate agency or forum of existing boundary disputes or cases involving questions of territorial jurisdiction between the City of Masbate and the adjoining local government units.
