Section 2Sec./Art. 2

The Municipality of Vigan shall hereafter be called the component City of Vigan and shall comprise the present territory of the Municipality of Vigan in the Province of Ilocos Sur. The territorial jurisdiction of the City shall be within the present metes and bounds of the Municipality of Vigan, as follows:

Bounded on the Northeast by the Municipality of Sta. Catalina along lines 1 to 3, by the Municipality of Bantay along lines 3 to 13, by Banaoang River along lines 13 to 18;

Bounded on the Southeast by Banaoang River adjoining the Municipality of Santa along lines 18 to 21;

Bounded on the South by the Municipality of Caoayan along lines 21 to 29;

Bounded on the Southwest by South China Sea along lines 29 to 41;

Bounded on the Northwest by Gov antes River adjoining the Municipality of Sta. Catalina along lines 41 to the point of beginning.

Metes: Beginning from BLLM No.1 of Vigan Cadastre, N87 deg. 05 min, E., 476.13 meters to point 1;

Thence to the point of beginning, containing an area of two thousand five hundred twelve hectares (2,512 has.) based on the technical description submitted by DENR-LMS-Region 1 June 25,1999.

The foregoing provision shall be without prejudice to the resolution by the appropriate agency or forum of existing boundary disputes or cases involving questions of territorial jurisdiction between the City of Vigan and the adjoining local government units.
