The City of Tanjay. - The Municipality of Tanjay shall be converted into a component city to be known as the City of Tanjay, hereinafter referred to as the City, which shall comprise the present jurisdiction of the Municipality of Tanjay, Negros Oriental Province.

The territorial jurisdiction of the City shall be within the present metes and bounds of the Municipality of Tanjay, as follows:

The City of Tanjay has the following metes and bounds: bounded on the Southeast by the Municipality of Amlan (Ayuquitan, Cad 170) along point 1 to 6; bounded on the South by the Municipality of Pamplona along point 6 to 16; bounded on the Northwest by the Municipality of Sta. Catalina (Cad 1077-d) along point 16 to 17; bounded on the North by the City of Bais (Cad 115) along point 17 to 23; bounded on the Northeast by the South Bais Bay and the Taïon Strait along point 23 to the point of beginning;

To the point of beginning, point 1 (MBM #1, Cad 119, Tanjay Cadastre), containing an approximate area of twenty-seven thousand six hundred five hectares (27, 605 has.), more or less.

The foregoing provision shall be without prejudice to the resolution by the appropriate agency or forum of existing boundary disputes or cases involving questions of territorial jurisdiction between the City of Tanjay and the adjoining local government units.
