Authority of the Secretary to Issue Permits. - The Secretary or the duly authorized representative, in order to effectively implement this Act, shall issue permits/certifications/clearances with corresponding period of validity, whenever appropriate, which shall include but not limited to the following:

(1)

Wildlife farm or culture permit

3 to 5 years;

(2)

Wildlife collector's permit

1 to 3 years;

(3)

Gratuitous permit

1 year;

(4)

Local transport permit

1 to 3 months; and

(5)

Export/Import/Reexport permit

1 to 6 months.

These permits may be renewed subject to the guidelines issued by the appropriate agency and upon consultation with concerned groups.
