Category. Given the physical, natural features, socio-cultural and economic importance that contribute to its valuable role as life support system for the people living within and around Mt. Malindang, the evaluation led to its establishment as a Natural Park in accordance with Sections 3 (b) and 4 (h) of Republic Act No. 7586, otherwise known as the National Integrated Protected Areas System (NIPAS) Act.
