Security of Domestic Sugar Supply. - Any provision of this Act to the contrary notwithstanding, the SRA, pursuant to its mandate, shall, at all times, ensures that the supply of sugar is sufficient to meet the domestic demand and that the price of sugar is stable.
To this end, the SRA shall recommend and the proper agencies shall undertake the importation of sugar whenever necessary and shall make appropriate adjustments to the minimum access volume parameters for sugar in the Tariff and Custom Code.
