Witnesses shall be sworn to give evidence that shall be the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, which oath or affirmation shall be administered by the Secretary of the Senate or any other duly authorized person. The Rules prescribe the forms of the subpoena, the direction for its service, the oath to be administered to the Members of the Senate and the Presiding Officer sitting on the trial, and the summons and order to be issued and served upon the person impeached. All process shall be served by the Sergeant-at-Arms of the Senate, unless otherwise ordered by the Senate.
