General Mandate. - The University shall primarily provide advanced education, higher technological, professional instruction and training in maritime education, shipping, administration, science and technology, environmental education, s ports management and operations, engineering and other related fields. It shall also undertake research, extension and production services in support of the development of the Province of Leyte and provide progressive leadership in its areas of specialization.
