Use of Renewable Energy. The use of renewable and nonconventional energy such as wind, solar, hydro, biomass and other farm-based energy sources shall be promoted as power sources for the operation and maintenance of agricultural and fisheries machinery. The DA, in coordination with the Department of Energy (DOE), the DOST and SUCs, and the private sector shall undertake research and extension activities to enhance the use of renewable and nonconventional energy in agricultural and fisheries operations.
