Hazard Pay, Health and Accident Insurance, and Legal Assistance. Registered chemists and registered chemical technicians who are exposed to chemicals as part of their regular responsibilities are entitled to hazard pay and insurance coverage commensurate to the risk involved. Likewise, registered chemists and registered chemical technicians who face civil or criminal suits arising from chemistry work done in good faith are entitled to legal assistance to be provided by the employer/laboratory for whom the work was performed.
