Positions in Government Requiring the Services of Registered Naval Architects. Within one (1) year from the effectivity of this Act, all existing and proposed positions in the local and national government, whether career, permanent, temporary or contractual and primarily requiring the services of naval architects shall accordingly be filled only by registered naval architects.
The Maritime Industry Authority, the Philippine Coast Guard and the Board of Marine Inquiry as convened shall provide permanent seats in their respective Boards for the APO of naval architects in order to continuously promote and sustain maritime safely in the country with sound technical advice and guidance on ship design, construction, operations and maintenance.
