Authority of Law Enforcement Agencies to Retain Computer Data. Notwithstanding the provisions of Sections 15 and 16 of Republic Act No. 10175,whenever a cybercrime warrant is issued for an OSAEC and CSAEM cases, law enforcement authorities shall be authorized to retain a copy of the result of digital forensic examinations for the purpose of identifying additional victims and suspects, and carrying out a further investigation, case build-up, and referral of information, whenever the crime is found to have nexus abroad, to foreign law enforcement authorities for the conduct of a parallel investigation.
