Undersecretaries and Assistant Secretaries. - The Secretary shall be assisted by at least five (5) Undersecretaries and at least five (5) Assistant Secretaries, who shall be appointed by the President of the Philippines upon the recommendation of the Secretary and subject to the rules and regulations formulated by the Career Executive Service Board.
The Secretary shall have the flexibility to determine the assignments of the Undersecretaries and Assistant Secretaries depending on the DEPDev's strategic directions on emerging development trends affecting the country's economy.
