Penalties. - Any government official who compels an employee under any guise whatsoever to retire or be separated from government service by virtue of this Act or otherwise violates provisions hereof shall, upon conviction, be punished by a fine not exceeding One thousand pesos (P1,000), or by imprisonment not exceeding six (6) months or both such fine and imprisonment in the discretion of the court.
