Use of Funds The amount herein appropriated shall be used for the purposes indicated and subject to the applicable Special Provisions contained in Republic Act No. 8760, the FY 2000 General Appropriations Act (GAA), as reenacted: Provided, That the amount herein appropriated for the upgrading of salaries for the uniformed personnel of the Philippine National Police.

The increase in veterans pensions, and the five percent (5%) increase in salaries of national government employees shall be effective July 1, 2001: Provided, further, That the amount herein appropriated for the Miscellaneous Personnel Benefits Fund shall be used in accordance with Special Provision No. 1 of said Fund in the FY 2000 GAA: Provided, finally, That the amount herein appropriated for Foreign-Assisted Projects Support Fund shall cover the deficiencies in funding requirements of on-going as well as news projects in FY 2001.
